  1. Past hour
  2. Veel plezier Marcel en medereizigers! Waldi
  3. Yes thats a TR3/3A Girling brake cylinder bracket, later cars deleted the adjusters. Stuart.
  4. Hi Nick! Thank you for your post and photo! It makes me enthusiastic, if this black bracket with the 2 holes is original TR3/3A?!? Please more input ( from others). Ciao, Marco
  5. Today
  6. I am glad you clarified that I think !!!!!!!
  7. I’m glad I’m not the only one Charly
  8. Mine has a grease nipple in the head (the Wanner, not me!), so if you have a 2nd larger gun/pump you can refill without opening too. But I don’t have one with the correct (MoS2) grease. Waldi
  9. Hi Marcel, when in the UK where will you be stopping for lunch or evening. Rumour has it that there are more TR5#s in Germany than actually came off the production line Roger
  10. Hi Waldi, I first came across the Wanner Grease gun during my apprenticeship at BEA (1967) and was amazed at how it worked so well. You can get them where they plug into a tub and you pump the grease in without taking it to pieces (Luxury). Roger
  11. Off the top of my head the 2.5 engines used the same cover. I'm not certain the 2000s didn't have the duplex chain of the 2.5l so presumably had a slimmer timing cover.
  12. ...if it is drifting and shouldn't then use Gaffer tape. If it is not drifting and it should then use a Big Hammer. Roger
  13. Hello Waldi, Yep, been there and done that. I bought my Wanner just for the trunions and filling the steering box. I didn't realize that they had such a following until I read this thread. Charlie.
  14. Hi Jim/Marco I have the adjustable push rods on my 3a - fitted by a PO... As I'm tall (6' 3") with long legs, I found these v useful in getting both brake & clutch pedals further away.!! Nick

    3- in - 1 oil

I can feel another "what oil should I use" thread coming.........
  16. Just to lower the tone….. Does this product endorsement make me an influencer?
  17. ?? Is there palm oil in 3 in 1 - I'm confused or is it thread drift Cheers Rich C-R
  18. Today I had to refill my Wanner… I pulled back and locked the chain (so far so good), but then removed the wrong side, the end-cap side. The spring then bends and you will not notice there is actually a “plain metal pusher”, fitted to the chain and a separate rubber seal, which does not come out. I did some arm-wrestling but did not get it to work. Very very messy. Then I figured out what I did wrong so now all good. Lesson learnt here. So always open the head, not the chain/bottom side. Otherwise you will look like me.
  19. I received this reply from a wanted ad I placed on the classifieds before I changed it to members only. They must be trawling various forums continuously as I received this in less than an hour of placing the ad. I did not reply because it has all the signs of a scam. keep your wits about you! Rodders.
  20. Yep, but I Wellseal the cork gasket to the alloy rocker cover and wipe the head surface with a wipe of grease. The seal breaks easily then gasket to head, then wipe dry and again give it a wipe of grease to replace the rocker cover complete with it's original Wellsealed gasket. Mick Richards
  21. True Stuart, but I am not sure there is any automated filtering of replies. Brian Update, just been investigating, some adverts now require a member log in to reply, so perhaps these advertisers have ticked the members only box on the entry form.
  22. I think you can stipulate replies from members only. Stuart.
  23. I was just annoyed as i thought that it was a closed just for our use site. Roy
  24. Best not get the two mixed up! Stuart.
  25. Wellseal, the only sealant that when you open the tin someone stood the other end of the workshop has it all over their fingers! Ive never known anything like it for getting everywhere! Stuart.
