Where did you drive to with your TR today

Recommended Posts

Thought I’d pop out in the TR for a enjoyable sun filled morning of dogging the Pot holes. One very special experience is on the A381 to Totnes, an opportunity not to be missed, where you can rip tyres, smash wheels and break springs or damage your suspension.

Took my cousin out to lunch. She was born in 1918.   Tom

Lovely end to a lovely day. Crisp winter coastal run, and down to the beach for a stroll at sundown.  Happy new year all, Deggers

^  I see one doesn't trust his car's handbrake.  No names mentioned of course :P

Had a great drive in our 73 TR-6 from Marlow to Frieth to Skirmett to Stokenchurch to Postcombe to Lane End and back to Marlow mostly via single track roads. I was testing out our complete replacement of fuel lines, acid washed/relined fuel tank & reconditioned Metering unit. Car ran magnificently and came across another red TR-6 on a backroad and had a short visit.

Did you see the sea of Bluebells at Turville? We were there on Wednesday and will probably return next week as they were still needing some more sun. We are often in the area, our favourite places.

TR Redrose Group at Gawsworth Car Show.  15 TRs on our stand today and lots of other different cars to look round. Weather was not brilliant for the 1st May but we didn’t get to wet as we had the gazebo up chatting and putting the world to rights.

Not brilliant weather here too,

we visited a friends and their garden at Esslingen (next town)

Luckily a beautifull "Besenwirtschaft" (small local winery offering a few weeky each year small dishes and own wine) is next to them.

Always great sitting there on the terrace and overlooking the river Neckar valley, right hand one of the MB factories.

Also lovely overlooking our "Elsässer Flammkuchen",

some of you title it "German Pizza", but its from the French Elsass (German speeking).

Yummy!

Run out to Coleton Fishacre near Kingswear. National Trust, dog friendly. Amazing selection of plants and trees from all over the world, fabulous views. Well worth a visit.

We used to go there regularly when we lived in Devon.  As you say, well worth a visit.

No pics I'm afraid but I had a social function with old work colleagues near Plymouth yesterday and notwithstanding the forecast decided to take the TR.  A round trip of 230 miles and the return drive in sunshine (yes, sunshine), was a blast.  Not much traffic and the car ran like a dream.  It's so true that TRs benefit from a good long run at speed with fresh fuel to clear up any rough running.

Morning Breakfast meeting at The old piggery Combermere, lovely morning as the sun has descended to come out and play. Only 2 TRs today but lots of other new and old vehicles to look round with a brew and bacon butty. Myself and the dog decided to take the long route home as the sun was out 60 miles instead of the normal 27 miles.
