graeme
An interesting EV development. Surely a new car like this has to satisfy modern crash worthiness tests? https://classicsportcars.net/ Cheers Graeme
Charlie D
The guy says: “The body and parts are new and made from the exact standards used on the original Triumph's production lines from the 1976 press, tooling dies, and assembly jigs.” (That would tend to mean that ALL TR6 body panels are available right now.) Looking on Google maps the address is a private house somewhere in the woods in Nashville. The website is made using “GoDaddy”, usually used by one-man businesses like plumbers and electricians. Nothing really seems to add up… I wonder how much deposit he asks for… Charlie D.
RogerH
Hi Charlie, being in the deep woods of Nashville, would you go and ask for your money back. I think I can hear banjos Roger
stuart
Bet he asks for a healthy deposit which would of course be "Non returnable!" Anyone asked the Six pack guys about this as they are closer to it.? Stuart. Edited March 20, 2018 by stuart

timhum
The address is actually in a very smart part of Nashville, the house sold for $510k a couple of years ago. I'd still be nervous but could be interesting. I wonder if we have any members in the Nashville area who could check it out. Tim
kiwican
So no oil leaks, no worrying about making it to your destination, no lingering odor of exhaust... I dont see the attraction. I wonder if will use Lucas electric components, that might add back one piece of excitment. Simon

JJC
Do we know who owns the Triumph name? It might have been BMW at some point. JJC
RogerH
Hi JJC, BMW own the TRiumph name. Definitely for the cars, questionable about the bikes. Haven't a clue for the underwear. If BMW own the TRiumph name can they be held responsible for the crap components and get something done about them Roger

TR 2100
It would be very interesting to know what would be involved in converting a 'normal' TR electric, how much it would cost, what modifications etc etc. There would IMO be more takers for that option than for a 'new' TR6. Pete That must be where the dies went that Heritage conveniently "Lost" which is why they stopped making new shells for the TR6 many years ago! Stuart.
Charlie D
On the guy’s “Linked in” profile ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/kent-simpkins-1b4031148 ) it says that : “….he found the original dies, and jigs in England so all the parts are exact to the original car in 1976..” Wonder how he “Found” them? I think I can hear banjos Roger Roger this is the answer to your prayers! You will be able to get a pair of genuine original pressed sample outer sills from this bloke in USA and get them copied for the repro market.
