Just spotted this one myself, it's amazing that they still keep turning up?

How much will it cost to restore that one:unsure:

Gary

Chassis CTM 6.5k plus painting.

Bodywork Thousands

Painting 6 to 10k

Ebay likely to hit 11k

"It is being sold as part of a driveway clearance for a family member."

Hi,

I'm sad and with the previous owner. What was his dream and hope with the car?

Is he still with us but unable even to start the project? What is with my projects (plural) and how will they end.

Sorry me for this thought....

One to watch personally I'd like the challenge but I suspect it will make too much money!

So I wonder was there a complete engine and gearbox under that bonnet? And what caused the car to be laid up for so long…

How could a frozen bonnet release mechanism be freed after 25 years of inactivity on a TR5? A genuine question..

Same as you would on a 4/4a remove right hand headlamp complete and use a long pole to the catch or remove both headlamps and unbolt/skillsaw off the hinges

Due to !@#$ repro release cables which suck themselves into the vinyl cover when tugged hard I had to find a way to do it at a show 150 miles away:

(LHD)

Remove the glove box

Pull out the rubber grommet for the choke and heater cables

With an assistant pressing down on the bonnet proximate to the latch, trip the latch with a long screwdriver from the inside through the grommet hole -_-

Do tell if this wouldn't work on RHD and why

It is much more difficult to do that on a RHD due to the amount of stuff in the way on that side, not saying its not do able but certainly not as easy, also you do need to be very careful doing that on a car with a good battery due to the proximity of the battery cable. Obviously in the case of the advertised car that last prblem is unlikely. I would say biggest problem would be seized bonnet hinges hence my above suggestions. We have discussed the stuck bonnet scenario on here quite a lot of times previously.
