Mts1969
My 61 3a is in the body shop next week and can't make mind up whilst it's there to have wire wheels repainted to Silver or just to leave as is in body colour. Any preferences?

rhino_mac
I like silver myself, but having looked at your photo, it looks great in body colour so I'd be tempted to leave well alone.

Kevinc
I'd like to see it with silver painted wheels for comparison. Looks great as it is, but might look even better. Can someone photoshop some in? Way past my IT skills.
Mts1969
With Silver Kevin Edited February 10, 2017 by Mts1969
rhino_mac
It looks more modern with the silver wheels to my eye. I've seen the painted wheels on TR2's rather than 3a's a lot so that might be why. The body colour wheels certainly make the car more individual. If I bought the car with silver painted wheels I would never change to body colour. But if I bought your car as it stands today, I'd be reluctant to paint them silver. So I guess my answer is, much as I didn't expect to, I think the wheels look good in body colour.
M. Pied Lourd
I think that I like them white as well after comparing the two photos. Cheers Tush
McMuttley
Pssssssst want 4 silver painted wheels (only 48 spoke tho)
jean
It's always nice to personalize your car a bit, in so far white looks very good on your car ...
RogerH
The body coloured steel wheels looked very nice. As for wire wheels I prefer chrome spokes with a lighter coloured body and silver painted with a darker body. Roger
Kevinc
I thinks it looks great in both body colour and silver, but I agree that it looks a bit more individual in body colour. Kevin
Richardtr3a
Body colour looks much more interesting. Plain silver looks a bit everyday. Richard & H.

6TTR3A
That is the nicest one off color combinations that I have seen in a long time. Keep It !! Of course, I am biased. Ford truck yellow, Jaguar Forest Green trim.
EdwinTiben
to take it in another direction: currently working on replacing the hubs on my original-wire wheel car to have steels.. And steels in body color ... Example of the beautiful ice blue tr2 from Colin Briscoe
Guest
That would be very nice! Closing the back wheels adds a lot to the look of the car! Are you considering entering the Concours d' Elegance in Apeldoorn this year? If so, you can use my garage to prep your car. (After all, it's a 3 mins drive to the Palace garden and it was good enough for Raymond to win the Concours) Menno Edited February 19, 2017 by Menno van Rij
