randall977
Thanks Gaz2trs! TODAY I STARTED THE CAR It actually started very easily (once we had sorted out the points) and sounded great (apart from the blowing exhaust and noisy dynamo bearing).
dykins
Great looking job! If you carry on at this pace, we might get to see it in the flesh at Malvern. Reckon it'll be finished in two weeks? Regards Peter
randall977
It could be finished in two weeks but I think the final finish to the paintwork could take me some time - maybe MOT'ed within two weeks! I had thought about aiming to bring it to Malvern but won't quite make it - off on hoilday that w/e.
randall977
Rebuilt the seats today after getting the covers restitch with new piping. I decided to retain their patena...in other words I didn't rebuild them perfectly! Edited March 26, 2011 by randall977
TR 2100
Rebuilt the seats today after getting the covers restitch with new piping. I decided to retain their patena...in other words I didn't rebuild them perfectly! Practical and sensible. Perfectly OK for the moment, although the rest of the car is looking so good, you may be tempted to get new covers in a year or two. AlanR

randall977
Hi Nick, I'm sure I read somewhere in the WSM that you should put tape around the rear light points??? Not sure if I did but it seemed like a good idea!

Chris Mountford
Hi, As you know , I helped a couple of the previous owners hump your car around in various boxes over many years. The car is a credit to your efforts and I suppose to the 3 who I know of, who made some progress before you took it on. Will it be at Harrogate? Best regards, Chris
TR 2100
Looking great. Just been looking through all the photos. Don't know if you have exceeded your budget but even if you have, well worth it. After all the work you have done, and problems solved, almost time to enjoy the fruits of your labours. Hope the clutch doesn't expire! AlanR
ianc
Looks super - very well done! The clearance between top of front right tyre and wing seems rather less than usual - is the paving uneven (forcing the right wheel to be pushed upwards) or is the suspension lowered at the front? I suspect lowering as the ground clearance at the front also appears somewhat less than I would have expected. Ian Cornish
randall977
Thank you for all you kind comments! Ian, you could be right, the previous owner certainly uprated the springs, I had never noticed before...I think it's level though...
