AJ2014
Another TR5 for sale by auction, lots of photos/receipts etc https://themarket.co.uk/en/listings/triumph/tr5/da60fe2b-6f96-443a-bbd2-bd45057a4b20?status=live I have no connection to this vehicle, just sharing the link for those interested Regards Ade
lee
Saw that. Paint looks pretty poor even in the pics.
Waldi
But I like it:). No overdrive (I think) but very appealing to me. Off course, if you plan to do a full restoration on this one, financially you would be better off buying a finished one. Cheers, Waldi
Waldi
It sold for 26 K.

AJ2014
It’s what I would call an honest car. I agree Stuart, it certainly needed a good repaint and associated bodywork to remove the rust/rot before it takes control. I liked it too :)
ntc
The days of over priced cars are over you may as well get use to it.
tr graham
Strange the below made £39,250 at auction only a couple of weeks back ,so it looks like 4a cars are still on the up . Wish I had kept it a bit longer sold it for £21,000 in 2019
Gary Flinn
Doing a quick search of Tr5's sold at Auction recently shows prices as follows including all the Premiums:- CCA - £48,840.00 Silverstone - £45,928.70 Bonhams - £46,125.00 H&H - £75-£80K (The TR register Concours Winner from 2019?) Sold but no Price stated All the above cars looked A1+ Or Concours condition to me. My old car was recently listed at a dealer for well in excess of what I sold it for in 2018 and is now no longer for sale there. So are prices dropping? Gary

They said this about early Land Rovers a couple of years ago. Since then prices have risen steadily with quite a spike in the past 4 months.
PodOne
No expert but I would have said 26K a little on the high side as I suspect once you start to poke around the body a full strip with lots of welding likely and paint job required. Then there's the interior and engine bay to address. I wonder what a private sale price would have being? 18 - 22K? Don't shoot me!! Andy
