Another TR5 For Auction

Recommended Posts

But I like it:).
No overdrive (I think) but very appealing to me.

Off course, if you plan to do a full restoration on this one, financially you would be better off buying a finished one.

Cheers,

Waldi

About right imho the bubble had to pop it was only a matter of time

Plus it needed a serious repaint etc so would still end up around mid 30`s.

Doing a quick search of Tr5's sold at Auction recently shows prices as follows including all the Premiums:-

CCA - £48,840.00

Silverstone - £45,928.70

Bonhams - £46,125.00

H&H -  £75-£80K (The TR register Concours Winner from 2019?) Sold but no Price stated

All the above cars looked A1+ Or Concours condition to me.

My old car was recently listed at a dealer for well in excess of what I sold it for in 2018 and is now no longer for sale there.

So are prices dropping?

Gary

The days of over priced cars are over you may as well get use to it.

They said this about early Land Rovers a couple of years ago. Since then prices have risen steadily with quite a spike in the past 4 months.

No expert but I would have said 26K a little on the high side as I suspect once you start to poke around the body a full strip with lots of welding likely and paint job required. Then there's the interior and engine bay to address.

I wonder what a private sale price would have being? 18 - 22K?

Don't shoot me!!
