Alfie14
Need to reboot the old girl for the new season, currently running on 165/80x15. I have been offered a good price on Continental CT22. Has any one had experience of these or any other recommendations welcome. Cars only used for normal road runs, no rallying or racing. Thanks. RogerH
Hi Andy, I found the Continentals squeaked and squealed too much for my liking. I'm using these and they work well in wet/dry conditions https://www.camskill.co.uk/m53b0s408p125635/Vredestein_Tyres_Car_Vredestein_TTrac2_Vredestein_T_Trac_2_-_165_80_R15_87T_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_B_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_70dB Roger
Drewmotty
The Continentals Ive had seem to have a very soft sidewall and squeal a lot. The very cheap T Trac 2s on my TR4 perform well in all conditions and are indistinguishable from the Sport Classics on my TR3 apart from the jazzy sidewall design on the TT2 which I dont like much. Ben Freer
+1 for TTracs. The secret with the sidewalls is not to use tyre black and coat liberally with mud????

Rex Wyer
I have just bought 5 Vredestein TTrac 2 tyres for my TR6 185/65/15's from Camskill £ 235-75 delivered next day Brilliant service and great tyres Rex
Alec Pringle
TTrac 2s are remarkable value for money, a relatively modern design and construction that happens to suit our cars surprisingly well. At Camskill's price, an absolute bargain. Camskill I can recommend as suppliers - I've purchased quite a few sets of tyres from them over the years, and recommended friends to Camskill, the service has invariably proved faultless. Good folks to deal with. Cheers Alec

Tom Boyd
£££££££££££ Roger Correct, they are expensive but you know what? So is building/maintaining a TR. Those four black rubber bands are the most important part of the car..........
RogerH
Hi Tom, quite right. Tyres are very important. However the T-TRack is a very good tyre for normal driving/touring etc. at 1/5th of the cost. Everybody has a choice. Roger Edited February 22, 2018 by RogerH
Hamish
I love my vredestiens sprint classics. Not the cheapest I know. But not as much as the xas. And I think the grip pretty well.
Alfie14
Thank you to all for the advice on tyre and supplier recommendations. Vredestiens have just arrived via Camskill. Looking forward to the first trip on the new boots. Regards. Andy
