RogerH
Hi Pinky, if you only need one then replace one. They are sold singularly. Roger

Motorsport Mickey
First time I've ever seen a valve in that condition Pinky, got to be replaced. Check all of them carefully, I can see flats on the circumference of that valve and it makes wonder... why ? It's either been dropped or impacted and then not reworked, that could cause all sorts of issues. I'd not risk it for a few squid, put 16 new ones in and establish a datum of knowing what you've got in there. I'd also clean ALL the combustion chambers and carry out a crack test especially in between the valve seats, that No 3 valve doesn't look good to me. acaie
Can't see a good reason not to replace this - after all one valve is not expensive. The question is what to do with the rest while the head is off. Needs to be driven by evidence, so what's the evidence: Are the other compression results really good Does a careful visual inspection tell you anything Any other symptom(s) of a problem with a valve If the answers are no, it ain't broke so don't fix it. RogerH
I'd not risk it for a few squid, put 16 new ones in and establish a datum of knowing Hi Mick, 16 valves in TR3 - what do you know that we don't. Roger
Fireman049
Hi Pinky ~ If I were you I'd replace all the valves then you know that you're on a level playing field and you might consider replacing the valve guides as well. Roger is right ~ where do you get 16 valves in a TR3??? Tom. Edited January 31, 2017 by Fireman049

Is it bigger than or the same as the inlets? - Inlets are 5/16" diameter You need to know when ordering replacement valves. 3/8" or 5/16" diameter. http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/triumph/tr2-4a/engine/cylinder-head-fittings/cylinder-heads.html Peter W
