Nos TR5 PI Badges

Recommended Posts

Didn't know the TR5 handbook repros weren't up to much.

How can you get a re-printing that is poor quality?

With modern printing standards, that should be a piece of

p***.

Makes you realise that getting repro parts made to any

decent standard is not an easy task.

Hi Roy

Good to hear from you again. I was one of those 30 TR5 owners that forked out

money at the time... can you remember the date btw ? My 5 is still undergoing

its restoration some 27 years after it was first started but I am reliably (really,

what again ?) informed that it is now finished and is awaiting an MOT in early

January. In fairness to the restorer, who is a good friend, I asked him to delay

completion because I was abroad but I am promised it will be in my garage

very soon.

Keep up the good work everyone, new badges eagerly awaited.

Cheers

Rob

Thanks Tom It's good to have that info and it re-focuses the mind on costs of a good repro. I know what i would prefer to pay! Still awaiting e mail returns for costs and lead times I will e mail intested companies again at the weekend. Hang in there guys i'm sure we will get a result! Andy

Hi

I've just come across this thread and would be interested in buying a full set of TR5 badges. Any idea what a good set of repros would cost?

Cheers

Hello Again

I've been trawling Ebay and have come across this item:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-TR5-Bonnet-Badge-C034B-/360874928749?pt=UK_Car_Parts_Vehicles_Automobila_ET&hash=item5405d26a6d

The badge looks good, hopefully someone with a more expert eye could check it out.

Cheers

Me too andy,if this is still on the cards.

I did put my name down originally, but we all get busy and time passes.

I have a place for a decent replica set.

Cheers,

Conrad.

Dave

Thanks for the reply. I don't have an original to compare it with so any advice from those who have is very much appreciated.

I'm actually after a complete set of TR5 badges:-

Bonnet, boot and "2500"| side badges. Not sure what the demand for the non-bonnet items would be but here's hoping.

Cheers

Alan
