Its not rocket science to see that what was either a failure or an advise on one year was not noted or passed on another and then re-appeared on the next year and with the very limited mileage between some really bad fails have suddenly appeared too, plus the test station numbers are all over the place, if you use the same one year after year there is some sequence to the numbers, I would say its been to everyone in the local area for the last ten years or so. Stuart.

If that is a bronze carrier then I do like them, just check with a file for hardness as there are brass ones around that dont last five minutes. Stuart.

Ashford took over a lot of chroming companies quite a few years ago and when you think your dealing with a local company everything goes to their main place which isnt London. London Chroming which were in my experience the best in the country sadly went bust about five years ago and Ashford just took over their name, theyre not the same company. Ive not heard anything positive . Stuart.

Definitely sounds like it could be dynamo, have you checked its output by checking with a bridge wire across the two terminals. Short bit of wire with the strands exposed in the middle and measure with a meter at the exposed centre with one probe and earth the other probe to the casing with it just ticking over and then see what happens a you bring the revs up. Stuart.
