littlejim
Wrapping sticky tape back to front around your hands, and rubbing over the carpet pulls stuff like that off too.
RogerH
Hi Michael, there is a vacuum attachment and hand brush that has a velcro type surface. You brush against the pile of the bruch and wipe clean the other way. Most of the cheap shops have them Roger
Hamish
Get cockerpoo's they don't shed their fur. Or any poodle/poodle mixed mongrel. :-) Edited October 4, 2016 by Hamish
stillp
My wife wanted a Dyson vacuum cleaner a couple of years ago, and the guy who served us in Curry's had a badge that said he was the store manager, so I tried to blag a discount. He knocked a bit off the price and threw in a "Car cleaning accessory kit", which includes a head about 4"/100mm wide with a rotating brush inside, driven by the flow of air. Worked well at getting my long-haired cat's hair off the velour seats in my Jetta. Pete

Alec Pringle
Michael has a Border . . . . . proper dog. Why on earth would a terrier man want anything to do with a puddle, mongrel or not ? Cheers Alec
Kiwifrog
I use plain old brown packing tape, stick it to the carpet then peel off brings the dog/cat hairs with it and its cheap like me cheers Alan

And no That's not my dog, I would not be seen dead walking a dog in a leotard. Or a coat for that matter. I have a border collie here in oz and follow a facebook page about them. Some lady asked what coat was best for the dog in winter. She wasn't happy when I replied, "The black and white one that comes with the dog." Motorsport Mickey
Get cockerpoo's they don't shed their fur. Or any poodle/poodle mixed mongrel. :-) Only first generation poodle mixes of any type don't shed their hairs, 2nd 3rd generation etc as they continue being interbred you'll find doggies start moulting again. Unless you know it's first generation it's a bit of a gamble. Mick Richards

Some lady asked what coat was best for the dog in winter. She wasn't happy when I replied, "The black and white one that comes with the dog." I've had BCs most of my life. I don't think any of my border collies would have been caught dead wearing that onesie either. Roger, your pile brush is next to useless on dog hair, and would be completely useless for car carpets. You must not have tried one! (I don't recall a dog around your place?) My solution over many decades involves (1) not letting the hair get in the car in the first place, which can be helped by putting a towel or other slipcover over the seat the dog is using, and (2) a seriously strong shop vac and Alan's packing tape trick. That said, having lost my last BC a year and a half ago, I'm sure I could still find a good bit of hair in his truck.
