Dady
I have twin stainless pipes that are a little shorter than I would like. Because of this they both disclour the rear bumper and blow back into the cabin when the roof is off. I have tried fitting some extending tips bought from Halfords (which have been returned, as really poor quality). Can anyone recommend a suitable supplier, preferably not made in the far east!! Z320
Hi David, the return or exhaust gases to the boot and cabin on my push wheel TR4A was because of a poor boot lit, with the new one (more volume) the problem has gone. Ciao, Marco
Lebro
Try to find some stainless pipe the right diameter to slide over your existing pipes, then cut to length & polish. Bob

BlueTR3A-5EKT
I think the external pipe diameter is 1 3/4”. Or almost 45 mm. It used to be an Harmo TT176. We stocked and sold them for the regular mild steel exhaust but then stainless came along and the pipe ends got polished. And there went another product. Depending on which side of the rubber strap the rear exhaust is currently mounted you may be able to move the pipes rearward by the thickness of the rubber and mounting bracket. Just a thought. You must measure the pipe diameter before ordering of course as over the years the exhausts have not remained as original. Something like this perhaps? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364350548723?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20230104123659%26meid%3Dd3b91a3f4e0c42cd818b7dce2456b757%26pid%3D101195%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D235089253520%26itm%3D364350548723%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D4429486%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseUnbiasedWebWithSearchFilterPromotion&_trksid=p4429486.c101195.m1851&amdata=cksum%3A364350548723d3b91a3f4e0c42cd818b7dce2456b757|enc%3AAQAIAAABMA%2FRCr1FPZgcFJM6h61UoBg7GgNjeRZ%2BGVRRDjExHgSCqxg2eTW7bsyVf%2FZD%2FuM8z1gCkQlc6aYbijp5nGDzQUczsvneCgyDtnZrLABA2w568p5PuVrCEHVFCSbkaUuO2cAuDKZ0PwYZunz1%2Fvw%2FRBT6KYkswTFamXzaimIRyYOuLi96ar4k6y%2BtA81WsJWDkKuCQSJB9ZvBtfzLpGDWEj1xu5vBY%2Fq24IrIm7q0EuDNBTj0CM1thMkCqcZ4Za87L8f9UMUuup9kpcZxinCGgK4VIVOcfMW0b%2BugRQQ1aY7tVT5uYeLk16U7izi%2BzyKM9o%2Bg9iGkmh%2FWL2SMTcrEPoPjB4jfmYNv4it0LqkJCrQLisbWXCPK%2FGMgJiGL9--sBM03IUnFHbrkkmQpIvFeOrM%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A4429486&epid=2232396647&itmmeta=01HPCPFDD4JEJADTD0DB1838V1 Or? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152546118204?hash=item2384750a3c:g:IYAAAOSwKytZFakL&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0KWUDTdnMyxjKM8oaC7PVzmdHSz8pt%2FxT%2BZWKLyigglUAJ1nEUsDXii57O9LZtQQFdKChwtP0SidDyJOlZTeAfkb%2FYZceWt24LMWtuMBoAf6uMsdyB3NjUKHoIicWemTcoCG3SpnBJMaKiGk05Su6%2BcnwmX2X6DvG2BiymGRJWK%2Fr9VQbHof%2FqJdD%2FUeS62VfjMQo9J9amwKDYvgE9DNsZKJ7ycOrKSAtz84Mg%2BFnVrYagk5AxaOK1fzH5Z575QDPqKBWfczsh079rKHcMkFtCY%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-6L_ZWzYw Edited February 11 by BlueTR3A-5EKT

Jase
That looks good, I’m not keen on the twin pipes on my 4A, the diameter seems proportionally to small. These might help, thanks for the link. Edited February 24 by Jase
mcgrison
Here is mine. I bought them from a normal auto parts store more than 20 years ago, to avoid yellowing of the rear part of the car. The curvature at the bottom is very useful for this. Edited February 24 by mcgrison
brenda
Looking round I don’t think they make them like they used to, have you tried going to a exhaust manufacturer we have a couple by us that manufacture exhaust’s for rally and sports models. Jase
I like the Bell and Triumphtune exhausts, I think mine has Kestrel? And visually they look a bit ‘puny’ given the style of the rest of the car, guess they didn’t consider aesthetics as much back in the day
