Cumulus
Hi All Installation of the TR5 Grille: Is it necessary to remove the bonnet, or will I get away with just removing the bumper to install the grille? Thanks Dave
Tim T
From memory, and this is 2 years ago, I certainly did not remove the bonnet and I am sure that the bumper was in place although the overriders certainly had not been fitted. If relevant, all parts were original. Good luck, Tim
tr graham
Just removing the overriders should do it ,do not forget to paint the lamp panel satin black if you want originality. graham

250
My 250 was body colour (originally white) and in talking with various of our cousins over the pond they say some originals there were also. Ultimately you do what you like Mark
YankeeTR5
My TR5 is a Malines built car still wearing its original white paint. With the grill removed, there is no black out or satin black of any kind in any of that area - its all body color on mine at least.

Malines built cars are a law unto themselves with regards paint colours as they could be ordered in any colour from the whole Triumph range as well as non standard ones. Stuart. Apparently same as above but not on the top return of the panel. i.e. the bit where the tabs on top of the grill screws to. Stuart.
