Hamish
Now that is looking wonderful. bit envious really that’s going to last you 20 years+ i’d normally say more, but you really use yours as designed and clock up the miles. mike I presume it’s a valentines gift from your better half. ! brenda
Morning. Malbaby yes the camshaft bearings have been replaced as new camshaft has been installed, Mick I don’t know as its being built by a engine specialist, I will enquire on Monday when I visit. (They have a open house policy ) I had to supply new bolts as the existing ones had stretched. Mike Redrose group ps just getting ready for a run down to Stoneleigh. BlueTR3A-5EKT
The engine builder may already have read the Mad Marx oil seal instructions or have done it all before, in which case this post is irrelevant to you. The original bolts that attach the flywheel protrude through the crank flange and may touch the new oil seal assy. I have reduced the bolts to 0.835" shank length to suit my old slave crank and spare flywheel (hence the dirt and rust) bolt protrusion before and after in one photo. Loctite will be used instead of lock tabs. 3 bolts compared old, original in centre. reduced length original one side and ARP bolt the other. brenda
All finished I think it looks fantastic hope it runs as well as it looks, it will probably take couple of weeks to fit and test as next week is the school holidays and we have the grandchildren. stillp
Looks great! It won't stay that clean for long! Pete
Bfg
I concur it does look fabulous. I particularly like the photo of the rockers in copper and everything beautifully shiny clean. I can't say mine is going to be that beautiful, nor with waiting for the machine shop is it happening as quickly (..just a hint of frustration). Note to self.. to get one of those oil filter adapters. I look forward to installation piccies and thereafter more photos of road trips. All the very best Pete

Looks like the engine builder has fitted (unless you already had it mike ?) the crankcase breather adapter similar to the Racetorations one just need a small catch tank now
brenda
Well spotted Hamish I have gone for the Racetorations oil breather and catch tank I need this engine to breath. The old engine only had a breather on the rocker cover. Mike Redrose group
