tim hunt 6 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Not the most challenging problem on here but my steering wheel is annoyingly a few degrees off anti-clockwise when the car is tracking straight. If I reposition it on the next spline it is about the same amount off clockwise. Is there a simple way I can get it level without upsetting the toe in? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. tim hunt 6 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Pic herewith. You probably think I am too fussy but I find it annoying. Tim
RogerH 186 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 (edited) Hi Tim, you may find that the splines on the shaft by the rubber UJ's is finer. If the wheel is not far out then adjust using the TRack Rod Ends. Rotate one a full turn clockwise and do the other a full turn anti-clcokwise Roger PS - just seen your pic. Use the TRE's Edited June 26, 2018 by RogerH
tim hunt 6 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Many thanks Roger, TREs it is then. I guess I could try half a turn first to see what effect that has then finesse from there I suppose if they are turned in opposite senses by the same amount the existing toe-in will be retained.I had thought it odds on that you would be the first to come up trumps but couldn't believe the speed of response - you really should get a life! Hope to see you at Lincoln on Sunday. Tim
Hamish 50 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Tim Whilst Roger has the correct answer with TRE adj. You could just try removing or moving the red tape :-)

Charlie D 7 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Tim, I like you multi coloured sun visor, but why do you only go to Switzerland on odd years? And what happened to the 2015 one? Charlie.

tim hunt 6 Report post Posted June 26, 2018 Spot on, the Swiss vignettes are from Club Triumph's Ten Countries Runs, which take place every odd year, alternating with the Round Britain Reliability Run. Just for a change I did the 2015 10CR with Howard Pryor in his TR4, accounting for the gap in my collection. Tim
