Hello Neil,

this car has been on offer for a while, I thought it very good value and not a bit expensive.

Please explain why the man needs to get out more, Have you offered him the asking price, I think we should be told, to understand your initial thread.

Cant you just hit the buy it now and then sort out the method of payment?

Fly out yourself, meet up with your guys, arrange to get the cash, and transport sorted when you arrive!!

Once he has listed it and you have committed to buy it!,then only a "Not significantly as described" reason can the sale be aborted by yourself!

If you then commit funds for its examination by your chosen specialist etc,and then he pulls out, just because he has changed his mind "AGAIN" you are within your rights to be re-imbursed by him for your expenses!

Talking over the phone and getting an inspection,is not making a 100% commitment to buy!

DONT GIVE UP YET!!!

GO ON!!

HIT THE BUY IT NOW!!

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!

IT IS WELL WORTH IT!!

I am still VERY tempted to go for it!!

Neil

No disrespect intended, just trying to lighten the mood, you're obviously still quite miffed with this guy.

However, I have to agree with the guys (and my earlier comment)

Looks a really nice car, and money is about right if as per the photos so come on, what went wrong.................

Or a Pilkie suggested, call his bluff, press the button cool.gif

Neil

we spoke at the weekend about this, i was looking forward to a spin

i know how it is as i missed out on that white 6, however things happen for reasons not always clear at the time

i have found people on ebay list things but they get cold feet when dealing with other countries and prefer if someone bought it locally if you know what i mean

i presume the white 5 is still with you

chin up

cheers

david

I was in contact with the seller last night for a look see at how the ground lay.

Its still for sale,so he says press buy now and pay deposit and its yours!

Arrange shipper to collect at a time convenient to him,and pay balance in person if you come along to supervise the collection and see it on its way!

Whoever gets it will get a great car I reckon.

He does seem a little miffed at having to part with it though.

Buying at long distance is a bit of a lottery.

But for anyone who has the appetite and wants a hot Michellotti...

Looks very well executed. One couldn't build it for that price.

Mind you, it sold on eBay last year for a lot less. sad.gif

It's funny, the guy seemed pretty reasonable when I emailed him.

He welcomes inspections and looking at google maps, he can't be more than 20 miles from SFO - how much is a flight from the UK these days anyway?

I know exactly how far it is ;)

Sorry P you are right I will not look at this again

I've already weighed in against this '250 and am surprised at the level of ( enduring ) interest

When a deal resists consummation it can be a blessing in disguise ;) Our guardian angels do come through for us sometimes...

We all know pictures lie ( with some exceptions to prove the rule ) so disappointment when seeing in the flesh is to be expected. Take a pass and be happy, I say!
