  1. All TR6 parts now sold as a job lot. So thats it. Thanks all for your thoughts and messages. My chemo starts on 30th Sept for 3 months. Hope to be back in the future. TTFN.
  2. Reg number ATR 6H now sold and transferred to a TR forum member. All TR6 spares also now sold. Watch this space for some holiday snaps of ATR 6H's new owner..
  3. Hello all. Just to let you know that I have now sold my 1970 TR6. I still have a large amount of spares and the reg number; ATR 6H to sell. So go here if interested,or pass it on to somebody who might be. I would much prefer parts went as a job lot,and you can then sell what you don't want. Reg number obviously a seperate sale. 50% of the spares sale price is going to Macmillan. http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT I hope to back in the future with another TR. But for the next 3-6 months I will be undergoing chemotherapy, and will be feeling really ****. Once the treatment is done, and I am back from a months recuperation at my old mums in NZ, I will probably buy a big yank RV and travel around the UK with my cat Casper visiting classic car shows as I go. Cheers for now. Dave Pilkie. PS. Well today I am happy, glad and sad. Sid the TR6 has just been collected by its new owner Chas and his son. I had inherited a new never worn leather flying jacket that was too small for me, but a perfect fit on him,so I decided to let him have that as well as it suits him and the car. Enjoy your new owner Sid. Thanks for nearly 10 yrs of great memories.

  6. TR6 provisionally sold. A large deposit paid. Private reg ATR 6H and lots of spares for sale. See my ebay advert.
  7. Hi Mark and others that have asked. TR6 is for sale and can be found on E-bay classifieds.
  8. Tell your MOT guy to look up the rule; 6.3 VIN in his MOT rules bible. It is not required to be present on vehicles 1st use before 1st Aug 1980. An advisory saying cannot be found or is missing is all he can do,he cannot fail it. If your plate is missing then its easy to get a repro and get it stamped up.
  9. Engine bay need putting back to near original spec. But without the choking USA emissions items connected. Hopefully will look more like this when finished.
  10. Its not easy finding them, but mostly they find me. And I do choose my projects VERY carefully. As I don't want a rust bucket or money pit. This was a 2 car deal that came from The Netherlands. Green car is rotten and just for useful and unique spares.
  11. Here is my next project car. A 1970 USA market federal spec LHD Rover P6 3500S, V8 Auto. Effectively a series 1,but with many upgrades for the USA. Many of which were then incorporated into the UK market series 2's. Its 99% rust free, mechanically excellent, needs total repaint and some interior trim TLC.

    New Hood Needed

When you have it back home, pick a nice day, gimme a ring and come over to mine. I will have a look at the current roof and see if anything can be done. Compare it to the NOS one I fitted recently to my TR6.

  14. Can take them a while to issue a refund.
  15. If its running great, and its below limits,be happy.
