  1. Looking forward to it. Hopefully the Ginetta will break down Dave!
  2. I’ve used hawk and they do bite well, found them very noisy on the road though so would only recommend if happy to swap back after the track day. Still looking for a fast road pad that’s quiet !
  3. Shameless plug. I’m having a tidy up as I have too many of these - Ideal for track days and save your road tyres. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F254204720576
  4. Blyton also passed me by, not sure what happened there. Maybe a poll either on here or Facebook would be good to see genuine future interest for another day here? It has always been good value and very appealing to road cars being one of the safer circuits.
  5. FOR SALE NEW UNUSED TR5 / TR6 A TYPE CHASSIS. I bought this chassis 4 years ago for a project which has not materialised. The chassis is circa 30 years old and when I purchased it, it was put on a chassis jig (one of only a handful in the country I believe) to confirm its trueness. At the same time, I had the usual areas strengthened as can be seen in the photos. A rare opportunity to purchase a completely unused chassis. As per the photo, it has surface rust due to being stored outside only for the last 18 months and will need a light blast and coating of choice prior to use. I also enclose 2 photos from when I purchased it prior to strengthening in its primer. More photos available on request (PM me) £2500 collection from Warrington, Cheshire.
  6. Can anyone recommend best place to buy a new rack from? I’ve heard new/recon ones are not so good? Thanks
  7. Hi, I presume they would be allowed - I have some road legal Yokohama AO48s 205/60/15s available if of interest. Thanks
  8. I have x3 K&N filters on my triple webered TR6. They are quite old and dirty. Back to back rolling road sessions with them fitted and then removed showed a difference of less than 2bhp. (car makes 160bhp at the rear wheels for context). Thanks
  9. Sounds like it will be an excellent meeting Dave! Sadly I cant make it but good luck! Steve
  10. Doesnt braided hose attract heat rather than resist it?
  11. Hi Magnus, Great pics and congratulations! Steve
  12. Thanks Kev for arranging the day I can only echo what others have said. It was a lot of fun and amazing value. Hope to do some more in future. Did anyone take some pictures or vids? Cheers
  13. I have been here with Ageas and argued successfully the car was a C not a B. The fact a new chassis can be bought and the car is not a monocoque helps with this argument. Sounds like you've moved past this question anyhow. cheers
  14. I agree with Charlie, give the cover a miss itll only scratch your paint.
  15. In my experience there is a distinct difference between 95 and 99 octane and all Triumph 6 cylinders that Ive owned were set up for the higher octane fuel. Using normal unleaded would cause pinking without question. If youre running one on 95 without any pinking then the timing is probably retarded as the car was designed for 101. Use 99 and get it set up to utilise the better fuel if you want best performance.
