  1. I'm thinking of buying an home battery to go with the existing solar panels and lower overnight rates of electricity (they used to be called cheap rate, but at 14p per unit that's hardly cheap), but want to understand the cost benefit balance. Can anyone with a home storage battery comment on these projected savings from the installers please? "The simplest payback methodology would be to assume the 9.5kWh is charged fully each day off of either solar (0p) or overnight (14.28p). How we blend those units together is really the question, but we can start with the worst case scenario (all u
  2. Pop along to mallory park this Sunday for the BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP MALLORY PARK SPRINT. Free entry with just under a dozen entries in the Triumph Championship
  3. At this stage I haven’t agreed with track owner Richard Usher the exact format for the day but with just 20 cars there will be plenty of track time for everyone. Given that, people are asked to check the condition of their brake pads. I’m going to offer anyone who turns up in a Triumph some track time late in the day. Typically, most of you will have had enough driving by about 3.30 pm and rather than have just a couple of cars running for the last hour / 90 minutes, allow other Triumph drivers onto the track for a few laps. They will, of course, have to attend a driver briefing and R
  4. Yes anyone else wishing to book now needs to contact the office. You can no longer book online. However, I do have a plan. Anyway who turns up in a Triumph, pays £10 to £20 (i haven't decided on the amount yet), attends a driver briefing over lunch (probably 12.30 ish) will be allowed out on the track from about 4.00pm onwards for the last hour or so. It really depends how many of the people who have paid £70 are still running. Very often things die down mid afternoon with only a couple of cars still running. We've hatched this plan to make full use of our track time and entice a
  5. I still have about 10 places left for this event. Don't be shy, book via the TR Register shop. This is THE ideal venue for your first track day regards kev
  6. I've just had (Saturday at noon) a cancellation for the Triumph only track day on Tuesday. PM me if you want the space. Regards kev
  7. Tyrone It's all part of a cunning plan. You book, you go and then you can't stop grinning for weeks on end. You fall in love all over again with your car and after a while you begin to realise something is missing from your life - until you book again. You're hooked. You'll be in very good company and will have a whale of a time in your road car - it's just about perfect for the job in hand. Book now Kev

  11. Pete, what a shame, your cars looks like a lovely TR4A. For the rest of you 32 of the 48 available place have now gone. Book soon or you won't get in. regards kev
  12. Chaps, Don't you fancy taking to the track yourselves? You could pay £250 plus for a track day at Castle Combe and find yourselves surrounded by Porkers, TVR, Lotus and the like, all capable of far greater speeds. On this track day there will be only Triumphs, there will be support and the entry fee is so much lower. Go on give it a go, you know you want to. regards kev
  13. Absolutely. It'd be great to see a good crowd watching us making fools of ourselves, I mean driving with great skill and precision. regards kev
