The supplier is no the think you have to care for - it's the parts you buy.

Isulated connectors - as you know them from the DIY markets - are scrap, you get them from all suppliers (if you want).

Bullet connectors are also mostly scrap if they are made of thin metal and instead of solid metall, and have not the correct drilling.

Any crimping pliers below 40 GBP / Euro you better only use as a hammer.

I decided that £17.00 for a “bullet closing tool” (Two bits of thin metal bent at 90 degrees) was a bit much, so I made my own out of one of the many old pliers I had.

Half an hour with an angle grinder.

There seems to be very few crimping tool options for the brass Lucas medium bullets.

There is the preferred expensive Autosparks ratchet option or the £25 plier option. I can't find any other ratchet options here in the UK unless someone knows otherwise?

Thanks just what I was looking for!

Why there is nothing similar here in the UK is surprising.

And if you want a permanent connection that is better water proof and more resistant to corrosion:

And it works!

Please send him a email and tell him what you want, the company owner is a one man show.

Shure he does not have many customers from out of Germany/Austria.

If this does not work I order for you and send you.

Ciao, Marco

Indeed Gerhard offers no shipping to the UK on his shop at the moment,

there could be reasons or this is by accident, he will tell you.

Forget the Brexit and the hassle - the joy about good quality tools remains for years....

Hello Marco,
Ahhh..
Well, not according to Edgar Reitz.
No doubt you are familiar with “Heimat”.

(For anyone who does not know, Heimat (Homeland) was a German TV saga about life in a German village between 1840 and 2000. Fascinating to watch.)

At one point (Episode 6) the village is described in 1943 where a bomb disposal officer (Otto) was sent, with his apprentice (Pieritz), to the village to de-activate several British un-exploded bombs that fell there.

Otto digs out a bomb, defuses it and hands it to Pieritz.
Otto says:
“These British engineers are so stupid. Take a look at this bomb and tell me what is wrong with it.”

Pieritz takes the bomb and inspects it in great detail. He unscrews parts. Screws them back together again with the diligence of a quality assurance inspector in a factory.

Pieritz hands the bomb back to Otto and says:
“I can see nothing at all at fault. The engineering tolerances are incredibly fine. The sort of thing that would come out of the finest British factory. “

“EXACTLY” exclaims Otto. ”It is so well made that it is incredibly easy to defuse and take apart. That is not what you want when you make a bomb. Our German made bombs are so crude in comparison. British bombs are all made with pride.”

So there you have it.:)
