BlueTR3A-5EKT
Common oil fill point for gearbox and overdrive. The Screwed filler plug is on the LH side of the gearbox case. Fill till no more will go in. Takes 2 litres at least from dry. Do not use GL 5 spec oil. We are told It eats the brass bushes in the transmission. lots on this forum on what oil to use. Hamish
It may take a few goes to add the oil. As it’s slow to level off into the Overdrive. Give it 15 mins after it runs out the fill hole. Do that couple times.
stuart
Fill to the level of the hole then take it round the block using the overdrive aa much as possible then refill to the level of the hole, thats the best way to get the whole system filled correctly. ianc
Warm the oil (in its container) as much as possible prior to filling - speeds up the process considerably. Ian Cornish

Ian Cornish That sounds like a very 'English' tip. (Should have added it's a good tip for Canberra at this time of year.) Edited August 30, 2020 by little jim

Yep, but it only works if you're also wearing a bobble hat, a pair of fingerless gloves and have just warmed your hands on a mug of Ty-phoo. And that's just in the English summer.
