Hamish
(Mick I have searched this but still need advice) I will be needing to change my brake pads (and disc probably) soon. I sprint and hill climb the car. As well as use it on the road. Last year as part of preseason checks I noted the reference on the existing pads that have been really very good. These being FER DS11FF. 625 ???? I cant see these available. ? In the parts bin I got with the car are a set of FER 2459F. C186 Does anyone know about either of these ? Does anyone know if I can still get the FER DS11FF. 625 Are they Similar ? I see people raving about the mintex 1144 ? Anyone selling these ? Advice welcome H Edited May 9, 2018 by Hamish

Rem18
Be good to produce a list of all compatible pads and thoughts on each. I did a list of Bosch pumps the other week and its good practice to have referrals.

BlueTR3A-5EKT
Not sure they are the same as mine roger I dont have the pins. These are mine. Hamish, If the 2 photos you posted are of your car then the 209327 xxxxx disc, which is 10 13/16" diameter will be too small for your callipers and mounting brackets. They require the 11" diameter (pt no 203189 ) disc. You can do some mix and match here but will need a pair of the TR4A-6 calliper mounting brackets. Another trick is using TR4A-6 callipers with the 11" disc and TR3 calliper mounting brackets - That gives you more access to cheaper readily available brake pads as the pads are fitted to many Fords. or - The 3 piston calliper from Morris 1800, with the TR4A-6 mounting bracket. I think one of the Jags and Scimitar used these too. The list goes on and on..... OR if you have £ 900.00 to spare just keep your car looking standard and fit these http://crosthwaiteandgardiner.com/parts/girling-br-lh-brake-caliper-assembly with the standard mounting brackets and original 11" diameter disc Cheers Peter W
Tom Boyd
Ahhhhhhhh didn't look at the pictures....... Peter is correct ! Again, nothing wrong with that set up bar the parts are more expensive discs £20 each pads £145 set (Mintex 1144)
Hamish
Peter Yes the pics are of my car. And as far as I know original. Thus the larger discs. No wonder I and others get confused when a leading retailer of our TR parts seem to be selling and assuring me specifically their parts are right. When and I am sure you are right peter you say they wont fit without a lot of juggling of parts. Tom no I dont think I have the later 4 brakes. Can I still get mintex 1144 for my 11inch discs And get decent 11 inch discs -confused of Cheshire- Just seen your update post Tom. Crossed in the post !!! Hamish
Hamish The Moss drilled and grooved discs do fit and do work. They are on my car. Tom Now even more confused ? Tom are you on original callipers Are these moss ones the 11 inch ones ? Are you at curborough so I can have a look ? H
RobH
The printed Moss catalogue states clearly on page 57 and again on page 58 that the cross-drilled discs are 10 13/16 inch and are only for use with the type C caliper. These can be fitted to all cars so that is where the confusion is arising, but it must be all or nothing i.e. a disc-and-caliper-and-mounting bracket change on the earlier cars which originally had A or B calipers.
