signalredshaker
OK, the auction is tomorrow and I'm going to have a guess at the winning bid. £11000. There that's it. Head on the block time. Madness? Worth it? We shall see..... up to now I'm the highest virtual bidder! Any advance?
stuart
That will probably be close by the time premiums and VAT are taken into account. It is a reasonable car for the money and the plate will make up a good portion of the price. Stuart.

Paul Harvey
The price suggests that the car was as good as I originally suspected. They are not making any more of these, and a conservative restoration will still leave the buyer in a fair place financially.

pfenlon
Auctions seem to be a way of getting the most for your car I believe the auction fever gets a grip of the wadded folk that attend these sales. A Pantera similar to mine sold for 133K euros at the French sale recently. Everyone in the States knows you can buy a better one for less than half the cost this French one sold for. These people don't seem to worry about what they pay, makes you think though.

TR NIALL
Glad to see this Car Sold and a Sympathetic Resto would be my choice.
Red 6
I am still laughing at the price achieved. Nice car indeed but what everyone missed was the value of the number plate! My friend is also laughing at the price the e type roadster bitsa sold for!
stuart
Nice car indeed but what everyone missed was the value of the number plate! Not at all, that and the Surrey is a fair proportion of the price. Stuart.

Your right of course, I still think Just over 12K would have been more likely but wow, it did appear a good old soul. But the E type was a hunk of junk, and I know a bit about them, amazed .... Again!
Guest ntc
Pete The E type was dead daft money
