  1. I have a Jotul No. 3 stove, about 5Kw which works well in a 300 year old draughty farm house and currently restoring a Jotul 118 stove for the kitchen which takes 600mm logs which should save a lot of sawing. Having to make new baffles out of 1/4" steel plate but not sure how long they will last, new cast iron baffles available in the USA but suspect the postage would be crippling! Cheers Richard
  2. Many years ago when funds were tight and batteries expensive I used to start the TR2 with the starting handle and its amazing how much the front panel flexed, the starting handle guide had the correct brackets. No wonder the front panels crack around the hole and I suspect the single bracket to the front apron would do little to prevent this, probably there to stop the lower part of the apron vibrating. Cheers Richard
  3. I routinely put a fuse in the lighting circuit (in the main feed) having experienced shorting in the rear lights which means a long run of wiring is compromised. The original fusing on my TR2 was minimal which cannot be good. Better safe than sorry even if it is not original. Cheers Richard
  4. I had a 1954 TR2 which was sold by Rossleighs to a school teacher in Stirling and given the Stirling registration GMS 410. While my current TR2 was built in 1954 but not registered until 1956, thought to have been owned by an American serviceman for 2 years and issued with a Q plate before being returned to the dealer and given a standard registration number. Cheers Richard
  5. My solution, captive nuts with allen headed bolts accessed from the engine bay. No need to touch the interior. Cheers Richard
  6. Hi Paul

I was on the Coast to Coast run last year in a Citroen Light 15 and really enjoyed it and planned to do it again, unfortunately this is the first I have heard of the 2021 run and it is fully subscribed. Where was it publicised and how did I miss it?

               Cheers Richard

Hi Dick. Nice view you have there. As you can guess we never left England due to covid.

      Paul.

      Hi Paul

I was due to go down to Essex for Christmas, it didn't happen. Christmas came early for Ms Sturgeon when she closed the border.

                  Cheers Richard
