Gear lever from what model?

I found this shifter amongst some TR4-6 gearbox parts.

I have never seen one with a hole through the main locator body.

Looks exactly the same as all the other TR 4 - 6 gear sticks I've seen

Hi Mal,

 as above TR4-6.  you need the slotted hole to lift over Reverse gear.

Without the hole it cannot be retained in the remote of a TR2-3-4.  It was not until TR5 ish that the long through bolt was changed to the two studs running in a slot either side of the ball.

Slightly different crank angles to cope with different seats

Thanks guys...most of my TR gearbox "stuff" is from 2500 sedans, hence I was unaware of the TR2-4 lever difference.

Could be from a 2000 mk1 ‘Barb model’. dated 63-67.  Contemporary to the TR4A. Is the stick the same length as a TR4 or longer like Stag And 2000/2500 mk2   ‘Innsbruck model’
