Well, they are actually insulated ex-lorry bodies so much better than containers. The point is that I need to re-seal the roof joints and could do with some suggestions of what to use. I don't think bathroom silicone is going to cut it and there is about 120 foot of joins. I'm thinking some sort of semi-hardening pourable bitumen type product. Any suggestions? Bfg Posted April 24, 2023 Report Share Posted April 24, 2023 I'd use CT1 for this sort of thing. I also used it to bed down / seal under things like stanchions and mooring cleats cleats on the boat. On my own container I thoroughly cleaned off the top surface and allowed that to dry in the sun and the wind, sealed where necessary, and then painted it (two coats) with liquid Dulux paint. That was in white to help reflect the sun's heat. The Dulux paint was water based as their air-drying spirit-based paint takes weeks to dry over CT1, and then only sorta ..as I found out when I used it as seam-sealer around the TR's floors. The Hemple two-pack paint I used around the boat's deck did go off just fine though. Pete Quote Link to post Share on other sites
