Does anyone know the itinerary of the weekend. I have heard for Saturday there is planned drive outs which do not interest me and the main day will be Sunday which I plan to leave around midday. So what is the itinerary? I have been to everyone since the late 80s apart from ill health on a couple and enjoyed them all.If this is going to be a shadow of what we are used to I will think again.

Friday

The much-loved evening entertainment in our beer tent will return with live music both during the day and into the small hours.

Friday will give visitors the opportunity to set up their tents if camping and to catch up with old friends over a drink in our entertainment tent. There will be plenty of catering, food options, beer and toilets on site – very important! The event will have different attractions running on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday

On – site, the first day of the event on Saturday will be a festival of grass roots motorsport! We have a huge treat for you with a never-seen-before feature.

The MCC (The Motor Cycle Club) will be running a sporting trial on the showground’s off-road course. You may have read about the exciting exploits of our trialling community within the pages of TR Action over the years, on events like the Exeter and Lands’ End Trials. Well, now is your chance to see the Trials TRs in action at the TR Register’s weekend event. Not only that, but a whole host of other models of vintage, classic and trials special cars will be taking part – plus motorcycles as well of course. After the competitive element to the day has concluded, spectators will be offered passenger rides to experience the sport of endurance trialling first-hand!

Meanwhile, the extensive trade show and Autojumble will be open for business across both days as will the Bring and Buy sale. There will be crafts and food for sale as well.

Technical seminars and demonstrations promise to engage the audience whilst a Carkhana takes place in the arena to add to the motorsport appeal.

Saturday will see an optional visit to the nearby Haynes Motor Museum who have laid on guided tours for us with an option to stay and take part in Go-Karting! For those who like their TRs polished, then you can watch the judging and deliberations of the Concours team during Saturday followed by the presentation of the awards on Sunday morning. Saturday evening offers the chance to party the night away with the live music and beer tent, whilst you reminisce about TR adventures passed with friends old and new.

Sunday

On Sunday, our traditional format returns with the live arena hosted by Wayne Scott telling the story of the many special TRs we are looking forward to having on – site.

Plus, some very special guests to be interviewed throughout the day to mark seven decades of TRs. The TR Register has negotiated the ability for attendees to visit the adjacent flea market (at additional cost) that is also taking place on the Sunday. There will be lots more features announced over the coming weeks!

Yes Iain and Hamish in answer to your questions Wayne and the MT confirmed Wayne has given notice as editors and The TR Register is looking for someone suitable to take over editor of TRaction. Here’s hoping when his contract comes to an end in September he will continue with his other duties, of course that’s my personal opinion.

Well Mike If that’s the case we are in for a really good weekend, I hopefully will be there as intended and I am looking forward to it.

Can't see this in the AGM minutes, what's the situation? and why don't us members know?

John.

It’s in the TRaction John direct from Wayne (from The Press Officer) perhaps they felt that was the best place to announce it to all membership. Agree though as it was mentioned at that AGM it should have be noted in the minutes.

As stated in TR Action and last Sunday after the AGM had been formally closed (hence why not in the minutes), Wayne is stepping down as editor of TR Action after 10 great years. He will continue in his Marketing & PR role for the club. The club is now looking for a new volunteer editor. Any ideas?

Ah that’s helps a lot.
I know that he is stepping back from the editor role but feared we were loosing him from the club as a fantastic PR ambassador etc. Relieved he is staying on.

I had missed that too. He will be greatly missed as Editor, those are big shoes to fill. The brief JD given by Wayne in his Traction article is enough to make one think just how much commitment we have been lucky to have.

There is a group of us coming over from Ireland and intend camping.  Just wondering does anybody know if we can camp on Sunday and leave first thing Monday?  This was possible at Malvern but not sure about this venue. Joe

Hi Mike,

Please could you include the TR Dog Show. I think that Sunday morning would be best and I am looking forward to organising it.

Thanks Richard & B
