Fixing screw for Lucas clamp-on headlamp rims?

Hi Don,

Yes they are zinc plated, however being N.O.S. Lucas they have been properly plated.

I am sure other that other Lucas chromed screws can be found as this type was fitted to a number of Spot lamps with a band to strap the two parts together.

Re the eBay item, it visually appears to be the correct screw, however the rim is not as it is for a smaller diameter lamp.

The following are reproduction clamping screws for pre-WW2 Lucas headlamps and side lights.

The headlamp screws have a larger head and will be a tight fit, obviously the caveat is, has the original thread pattern been used..?

The side light screws should fit without any problems, but again has the original thread pattern been used..?

I've been watching this one on eBay, too.  Right screw, but a lot of money for that being the only part I need.

Had a few spare minutes this morning so made one up using a larger SS screw as a starting point:
