It became "perfect" when I use the easybleed on top. Now I am waiting for my wife to push the pedal when I take a closer look to the drums to convince that everything is proper. Do not understand what happened still. If you replaced the brake pipe over the diff you would have had a airlock

But i never had any problems to bleed brakes and clutch And wonder why this is such an issue on the TR6. More snd more I‘m convinced the TR4A is the best of all TRs. luckily I made this choice!!! Casar66
Quote But i never had any problems to bleed brakes and clutch Me too, at least not for 18 years. Quote More snd more I‘m convinced the TR4A is the best of all TRs For me this is wishful thinking. The truth is, that none of the TR-familiy is a "good" car. Every model has its own proplems. And many problems the Family shares. I like that. If I want a "good" car I would go for a Toyota.
Casar66
Quote If you replaced the brake pipe over the diff you would have had a airlock I have just undid the brakecylinders from the pipe to work on the brakeplate. Due that lost of brakefluid, not that much, that put a stopper on the pipe. Thats all.

Casar66
How you would check the tilt valve?
reginald
Hello Sorry for delay in replying The Tiping valve is in the master cylinder, the attached PDF may help, if its attached ,I think you need to remove the reservoir to see it Richard Brake+Overview+&+Theory(1).pdf
Z320
I asked my club mate, but this lucky guy does not remember the problem (he us younger than me!). Richard‘s post brings back in my mind he told me (10 years ago?), it was the tipping valve.
nigelcurry
Can I jump in with a question,as I read the replies to our friends questions, having just refitted my master cylinder only one compartment seems to be filling up,do I just add more fluid until it enters the second compartment! nige
Waldi
Yes Nige, that’s correct. Waldi
Harbottle
Be carefull Nige, it is easy to miss the rear part an spill the fluid onto body work. Plenty of rags just in case.
