Phil Read
I have fit underwing protectors to my TR4A. Having finished the body restoration on my 3A I was wondering, in the absence of manufactured items, if anyone had fit any underwing protection to TR2s or 3s?
Lebro
As far as I know none exist. Bob
Charlie D
Phil, When I took my 3A apart in the mid 80’s I took the wings off and removed all the paint to bare metal inside and out. I then put a couple of layers of fiberglass on the inside. Some people may say it’s a bit extreme, but I think it gives good protection. You do need rough clean metal and you need to fit the wings back on the car within a couple of days because once the fiberglass has cured fully it will not move. If you leave the wings off, leaning against the garage wall they may get a slight twist and the set that way forever when the fiberglass is solid. Saying that I left my wings off for 30+ years and they still fitted OK Charlie.

billy l
Don't like the idea of them, too many areas for mud/leaves to collect and not dry out. Cheers Bill.
