Jctr6EFI72
For my tr6 pi, as I live in france and as I don t want to mix metrics and imperial standards, I d like to buy a set of bolts and screws, just in case...I ve been reading the 500 pages of this forum (not for that question :-)))) and did not find an answer, maybe because too obvious ? Waldi
If you sell me your Montesa Cota, I will reveal a good option:) https://www.namrick.co.uk/ This is where I bought mine. Good quality, and also available per item in the quantities you need. Since P&P is not cheap for us EU folks buying in the UK, better order a lot in one order. Richardtr3a
They are very reliable and will also supply stainless steel. Luckily I live nearby and have been there so often that the roads are very familiar to me. If you send a pattern they will match it. Stainless steel best for body and wing mountings but not for critical safety parts. Good luck Richard & B

If you get a Moss paper catalogue the back pages are full of all the common hardware you will need. All the ther pages will contain all the specialist items. The Moss WebCat https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/ does not appear to have the common items. Roger
Jctr6EFI72
I realized I forgot to ask my question : what standard to buy for a TR6 ? UNF or UNC ? @waldi.... : noway :-) I own the 123 for 42 years and i ve been dreaming on the 349 for 35 years before i fall in love with a barn find
ed_h
Most of the imperial hardware is UNF. Then there is the smattering of BA in random places. Ed

The horseman
Hello JTC, If you read the original Triumph TR6 workshop manual (known by some as the "Brown Bible") you'll find that pages 06.1 to 06.5 give you the thread size, type and torque for near enough every bolt and stud on the car. If you haven't got a hard copy of the manual you'll find that you can download one free of charge from the somewhere on internet. No doubt someone else may be able to give you the website address. I would agree with Waldi that Namrick are very good suppliers, you may find that you can buy a mixed pack of UNF nuts and bolts with a selection of sizes which I found very useful in a rebuild. If you're ever in the UK they are at Hove, near Brighton. Ian

Omg !! :-) quite dangerous! :-)) Well, At the age of 14 there are no risks for boys, so nothing can happen, right? Yes, it was quite a change from my 50 CC Zundapp "cross motor" to the 350 CC Montesa Trial bike. Cheers, Waldi
peterq
Hi, https://www.ebay.de/itm/UNF-Zollschrauben-Triumph-TR3-TR4-TR5-TR250-TR6-TR7-TR8-Herold-Vitesse-Spitfire/150661060218?hash=item231419567a:g:sRAAAOxyrP9RZSKT This company is in Germany (screwcorner.com) and it sells on Ebay. About 10 years ago, I had trouble with bolts and screws coming from one of the big oldtimer companies, they sheared off at fastening. I then bought this assortment at Ebay, no connection, just a satisfied customer. They are all UNF, as far I as remember UNC studs are used at the exhaust manifold. For most purposes you need grade 5 screws (simular to 8.8), marked by 3 radial lines on the head. As you can see in Ebay, it ´s no problem to order small quantities. Kind regards, Peter.
