Malbaby
I have had this frame in my shed for many years...not sure if Triumph, and if so what model....TR3?
M. Pied Lourd
Yes, definitely looks like it's for a TR3 Cheers Tush
TorontoTim
As one who has never see a TR3 hood frame up close (so please take this with a pinch of salt ), this also looks a lot like my TR4 frame. if you measure the width of the frame, that should give it away. TR 2100
Just curious - what identifies the frame as TR4, not TR3? AlanR
M. Pied Lourd
Me to. Looks exactly like a TR3 to me...attachment points, knees, bows etc..I'm curious. Cheers Tush
Lebro
Just curious - what identifies the frame as TR4, not TR3? Quite a lot ! for a start the rear most loop on a 2/3 is hinged on the next hoop along, & does not go down to the body. Also the erect (sorry ) shape on a 2/3 is rounded front to back, on a 4 it is more angular Bob
TorontoTim
As far as I can tell from photos and diagrams, as Bob says, on a TR3 both the rear and the front hoop hinge off the middle/main hoop; on the TR4, the "main" hoop is the rear one (which sits roughly vertical when the hood is up), with two others hinging/attaching forwards from it. Then there's the TR4A frame which is completely different...
Malbaby
Overall width of frame mounts is 111cm.
