Richard Young
Hi everyone...a quickie. Does anyone know where I can obtain the red plastic bungs that sits in top of bottom wishbone arms covering the screwed bore of the inner bolt holes. See pic Regards Richard. peejay4A
I found some on eBay when I was rebuilding.
Blue cedar
Mine arrived in the The Moss front suspension kit I purchased early this year, 2016. Perhaps they have 'separates' that you can buy. Although not showing in their catalogue!!
RogerH
Hi Richard, you could simply fill with thick grease. Or something from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Auto-Silicone-Hoses-End-Blanking-Caps-Finishing-Bungs-Silicon-Pipe-/190892513049?var=&hash=item2c72149719:m:mH52ldJ0iKXmzqtvbGffFBA Somewhere like ThinkAuto may have better blanks. BlueTR3A-5EKT
Assumptions The holes in the wishbone are drilled then 3/8 unf tapped. The tapping drill for 3/8 unf is letter Q or 8.5 mm These black plugs may do it as well as those offered on BPF online site given above. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/13mm-x-9mm-Hole-Plugs-Plastic-Blanking-Inserts-Masking-Finishing-Black-/221906372909?var=&hash=item33aaa6892d:m:m96js4wOoZJmedLGeNYiltw Are you going all concourse on us? If so, all the plugs I have seen were originally red. - like the bung in the top of a Hypoid oil bottle. I do have a couple of NOS lower wishbone arms with them fitted if you are stuck for dimensions. Peter W
Richard Young
No Peter. No,not concourse. Have managed to find on the net, some red threaded pvc plugs 3/8 unf.Not received them yet but hoping they will be fine,at least they will be 'red'. Thanks for your help...appreciated. All the best Richard.
