JohnG
Gents I have a CSC (minus seriously knackered seals) available, should anyone want to reseal it. It is in reasonable nick, I think . . . . . I have just fitted a replacement (easier than doing the reseal) Going for the cost of postage, which is about four quid I think. If you want to collect it from Chelmsford, that's fine.
Andy Moltu
Why? New ones are cheap, the bores of slave cylinders are often scored or corroded. Seal kits are for keeping in the boot when you are touring as an emergency to avoid a spoiled holiday.

I agree withat you, but, I was taught 'waste not want not' Making the offer cost me nothing There may be someone out there who wants the bits for their own reasons I'm happy to help if I can and, living in a democracy, I have the right to do so The bits will go to recycling, if no one wants them
astontr6
Hi John! If no one wants it? Have it sleeved and then it will last at least 10 years or more, when used. Bruce.

Andy Moltu
How much would inserting a sleeve cost? Given that new units are less than £15 and seal kits £5-8. Master cylinders rarely corrode but clutch slaves get exposed to grit and debris and corrosion so I stand by my argument that to refurbish a slave on a 6 isn't cost effective let alone if you have to mail the old unit. This may be different if they were not readily available and cheap. Same fit as 2000, Pi, Stag, Land Rover Defender to name a few.

Not sure about slave cylinders but due to many reports about duff brake master cylinders I had my original sleeved at pastparts cost just over £100.00.If new units for the above are only £15 it's a no brainer if quality is good!!
