John L
I've come to renew my pads before the MOT, but find the ones I have are the MGB633's which have the small calliper retaining pins, I presume I can get these pads with the bigger pin holes, would anybody have a reference for the larger pin hole ones please? I think they could be fitted to Ford Escorts or Capri's but not sure which years had the large calliper pins. John
BlueTR3A-5EKT
If not a round file of 1/4 diam will do it. Peter W
John Bracher
+1 for a slight enlargement of the pin holes for Mintex pads. Have seen no adverse effects.

john.r.davies
If you have some way of holding g the new pads securely, from a vice to a "Workhorse", to clampi ng tnbemto plank with a pair of mole grips, just drill them out. The retaining pins do nt provide precision accuracy in locating the pads, no need for you to either. John
John L
Have done just that seems to be OK so far, thanks everybody for the tip off, but is there a reference for the 1/4 hole ones in 1144? John
Tim D.
Also drilled mine. Seemed fine. Tim
Nick Jones
No, I think you have to drill them out if you want the 1144s. Quite often necessary even with standard pads these days. Nick
