AlfredHitchcock
Ive put 2 of my brake drum retaining screws somewhere 'safe' and now cant find them. I'm jiggered if I'm going to pay £2.60 + £3.60 p+p for 2 little countersunk screws. Can anyone confirm they are the same as fitted to early Landrovers as these are cheap off ebay? John Morrison
1/4inch unf- you,ll countersunk allenhead screws from any good engineering suppliers or fit one screw either side until the others turn up drums going nowhere. John
Ian Vincent
They are probably the same as the hinge screws on a sidescreen car.
Tom Boyd
Not the same as the hinge screws........ If your going to the international weekend I will happily bring you some Tom
brucer
James Paddock do them for 50p each and delivery is free if you order over £5.00. Bruce
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Check the head diameter before you splash out on cheap ones. The ones I got did not sit in the countersink of the drum. Peter W

If your going to the international weekend I will happily bring you some Tom Thanks Tom but I wont be going this year. I will check out the 1/4 unf countersunk or do the 1 per side trick until they turn up. Nick

BlueTR3A-5EKT
Just asked the UK maker of these things and they are as almost all threaded things on TR 's Unified. Should be 1/4 unf, and yes the head is a smaller size than a lot of the volume hardware available on the net. They are made to a standard set out by Standard Triumph in the Hardware catalogue - see Canley Classics for a copy on the web. Pt No. V5435 http://www.canleyclassics.com/?xhtml=xhtml/diagram/hardwaresetscrewflatcountersunk90head.html&xhtmlcatalogue=xhtml/catalogue/appendix.html&category=hardware&xsl=diagram.xsl Cheers Peter W
alan57
Do you bolt your wheels on???
AlanT
These two poxy little screws don't and can't do much. They hold the brake drum in place, for just so long as it takes you to put the wheel in place, and put the four nuts on the studs. After that these are just loafing about. AlfredHitchcock
Thanks to you all. I am using bolt on wheels and will go down the 1 on each side route until I can find where Ive put them. Cheers Nick
