MadMarx
Race 1 until the woodruff key of the oil pump sheared:
TR 2100
Great video - tragic ending. One very Mad Marx. I was watching the rear view mirror - what was that trying to keep up with you? I'll probably get crucified for this, but I reckon you could have braked later for some of those corners on the first lap! Just teasing the other guys, I guess. MadMarx
The car behind was the +8 of Paul Conway. He won the race. The main problem at Zolder are these tight chikanes. If you are gently too fast you can't steer through them and you will jump over them and ruin the frame and suspension work. So I prefer to drive a little slower through, especially on cold tires. wriggley monkey
Sorry to hear your troubles. Hopefully you will get it fixed and back fighting fit for Donington. Brian

TR 2100
Another great video. Fantastic 1st lap. Thats a pretty quick yellow 3 you are taking a while to overtake (I assume - still in the middle of it). Almost like you are saying - Age before beauty ! Must be similar spec to yours - still with R&P or as original? AlanR Yeah Yeah . . Yeah Love the original style tach redlined at 7-2 to 8 Edited July 2, 2013 by TR 2100
MadMarx
The TR3 has more power and is lighter than my car. Hard to overtake. As far I know the TR3 has R&P steering.
Trigbush
He also cuts you out two or three times when you were committed.

MadMarx
Well Done Race 2, Exellent. You should Start from the Back all the Time, makes it more interesting for us. Thanks for Sharing. I never thought I could win that race with starting from behind.
Motorsport Mickey
Excellent drive by Chris, he was well pumped up (mechanical failure in first race does that to you). Trigbush, I don't think you'll find Chris moaning about being "cut off" as you put it, he knows you can't claim the racing line from behind. Mick Richards
wriggley monkey
Excellent drive Chris.
Chris59
Very impressive, Christian, thanks for sharing ! I understand that you've repaired between the 2 races, does it mean that the damages in your Tr4' engine weren't "terminals" ?
MadMarx
The oil pressure went away but I saw it at once and switched off the engine. After replacing the woodruff key of the oil pump shaft the car was ready to race. No harm to the bearings.
Chris59
You have been very lucky !

foster461
Chris, where is all the telemetry coming from, eg rear view camera, tach, speedo and track position and what are you using that brings this all together and overlays it ?. Really nice videos, is that a toggle switch for the overdrive on the steering wheel ? Stan
MadMarx
Hi Stan, This is the video unit: http://www.race-technology.com/home_2.html And yes, I have a switch on the left steering wheel spoke. Chris

roy53
Criss i thought you guys had to run roofs on your cars for this year ? has there been a let off or a change of heart. ROY
MadMarx
Thanks Marcel :-) Roy - roof only on the Nordschleife. All other tracks open. This year we have a mixed grid. FIA cars and TC regulations cars. But they are doing well together. FIA and TC do have separate classes.
