CONCRETE24
Lovely car - I'd be paranoid about driving it! Give be my 'slightly used' and £20k cheaper version any day! Cheers! Michael
RobinTR6
Seen this in the flesh, nice. It was for sale 2 years ago at the NEC classic car show and seen it for sale elsewhere.....its a lot of money for a TR6 even a low mileage one....
cj79
Oh dear, thats very close to my final spend on mine since I started the rebuild 3 years ago... I'm never going to sell it so I guess it doesn't matter and these things are appreciating slowly. The seller is a bit shouty isn't he (ITS CALLED THE CAPS LOCK KEY!) peejay4A
Is it "well known to specialists as a reference car"?
stuart
Is it "well known to specialists as a reference car"? No Stuart.
kalamunda
Only six thousand miles less than mine and I didn't pay within a bull's roar of that. A bit gushing in his opinion but I guess someone equally gushing who wants an "investment" rather than a user will come along. Not long ago I had an unmolested completely original yellow MGB that took ages to sell at a normal price as no one liked the colour despite its originality. peejay4A
No Stuart. Thought not.
RobinTR6
Its good but not immaculate and I'd be interested to know if its been sold since I first saw it at the NEC 2 yrs ago. Prices seem to be getting a tad silly to me. I love the TR and part of its attraction is affordability and a car that can be used....not much fun in a garage queen. As with any motor really low mileage on something this old isnt necessarily a good thing..
Kiwifrog
nice car but it needs to be driven a bit, poor thing only 18000 miles obviously unloved Edited May 15, 2013 by Kiwifrog
lachouette
The '70s. Anyone who can remember that far back (ie is over 50 and wasn't permanently stoned at the time) will know that UK manufactured cars were a total nightmare, poorly assembled and not really "fit for purpose". (the "Assistant Editor's tale" reproduced in "TR6 Gold Portfolio" confirms). So why would you pay £28k for something put together by the crew that ultimately killed off the British car industry, in preference to (say) £15k for a TR6 restored by someone who really knows what they are doing, with the benefit of 40 years of shared experience. And if you actually drive that precious flower and put miles on the clock, you must know that you are wiping off value at the sort of rate normally reserved for Vauxhalls.
