foster461
Guys, Silly question I know but just want to check before I buy When something is advertised NOS does this stand for New Old Stock - i.e.original but new Or have I got it wrong Regards New Old Stock indeed is supposed to be original parts that may be 40 years old (hence the Old part) but have never been used and are probably in the original packaging (hence the New part). A term that is often abused on eBay. Stan

PILKIE
Watch out for the misleading term used by some!! "BRAND NEW OLD STOCK" It cant be both!!! Its either brand new "normally a reproduction part often of inferior quality". OR Its new old stock "an original genuine unused part". Some parts are being remade today using the original tooling from years ago,but the quality of the materials used has to be good,at least up to the standards of the originals!! Best ask some relevant questions of the seller if you are at all unsure of the item being sold!!!

TR 2100
There's also NORS - New Old Remanufactured Stock. Far more of it than NOS so take care. Not all eBay sellers use "NORS", they just call it NOS. AlanR
jean
Realize that in the 60th 70th the quality wasn't that good to be proud of. My 6 had serious rust on top of the wings after 3 years from new. At the time BL was singing like a bird ..cheap..cheap..cheap So " NOS " does in no way mean top quality
