YankeeTR5
Just putting the word out. NFI. Given the low number produced this is a pretty amazing collection / opportunity https://www.proxibid.com/Burns-Auction-Appraisal-LLC/The-Householder-Collection-of-Dorettis-Triumphs/event-catalog/236418?srch=&srchloc=true#Top
Dic Doretti
Burns Auctions don't appear to have put much effort into showing what they have for sale, a few photographs and minimal description. A total of 28 cars and not even a list of them let alone individual descriptions and nothing about the spares and memorabilia unless I am missing something. John McCormack
I alerted a couple of our Doretti owners thinking they would want to get a few spare panels and aprons. Unfortunately, it was all too difficult for them.
iain
WVC248, umh, I don't think so. The front Apron is possibly part of that car,the multiple holes for light mountings in the mouth would indicate some similarities, however the rest of the parts, are as previously commented by others unrelated. WVC248 was a very heavily used vehicle 59-60, eventually sold of to Gordon Birtwistle a factory employee. He also I believe bought 4VC and sold to Ian C.
Don H.
Iain, I think some of my comments about that front apron are posted in one of the other threads on the Householder auction. Tom and I had a number of discussions about that item, and I was never able to convince him it wasn't right, and that stick-on numbers weren't provenance. There's a little more backstory -- nothing that changes the conclusion -- that we can talk about at Goodwood some time.

Hi Don, it would be great to catch-up, however might be the Revival this year, I’m double booked for the Members :-(

Dic Doretti
Have just been through the detailed auction list and now suffering from information overload, a massive collection of rare TR and Doretti parts and ephemera. One lot had 2 early thermostat housing along with a pile of other parts, I wonder what else is hidden in all the junk. Also the prices are amazing, $2500 for an original Doretti instruction book! Cheers Richard
Don H.
I was at the auction today, and won a few items for myself and as an in-person assist for one of our forum correspondents. Most of the prices were about in line, I thought. A few outliers perhaps, like that Doretti handbook that two guys — one online and one in the room —*really* wanted. doretti
It would be very helpful if any new owner of a Doretti resulting from the auction, could let me have their contact details via PM or email. Just trying to keep the vehicle index up to date. Ken
