Leonardo
Hi! I just bought a pair of original steel rear wings and I have to arrange shipping. Could anyone tell me the weight of a wing? just approximate weight. THANKS!

BlueTR3A-5EKT
I think your sender's challenge is the packaging so the wings do not arrive looking like partially disassembled origami. At C&B latterly Moss we had boxes made specifically for the transport of wings. - Get the wing beads sent in the same box too. Peter W PS Get them insured, in case someone decides to stand on them whilst in transit.
ianc
Very kindly, Julian Garrett, owner of a TR4 and Treasurer of the Spares Development Fund, has weighed a pair of rear wings and reports that each is 4.1kg. These are genuine Stanpart wings, belonging to the Spares Development Fund. Ian Cornish
stillp
I suspect a decent wooden crate would weigh more than the wings. Pete
rcreweread
Good "containers" for posting large items like wings or rear bumpers are the cardboard boxes that new bikes are sent to Bike retailers in and quite often they are only too happy to get rid of them - they are large and strong.
