Tim T
Would somebody be kind enough to let me have dimensions for the position of the drivers door mirror on a TR5 please. Many thanks, Tim
John L
Hope this may help, these mirrors are quite difficult to get the mirror glass twisted in the frame to be able to see behind.

Sorry but I don't think that's a TR5 mirror. Should be P/No 622352 I believe. Dave McD
Tim T
Dave, I agree. I am looking for the original Winguard dimensions please. Tim
saffrontr
Tim, The attached scan is from Triumph Newsletter 215 for the TR6. It is for Wingard door mirror part no 622352 Pretty sure it would have been identical for the TR5 albeit I can't find a similar service instruction or newsletter for the TR5. cheers Derek
saffrontr
Found the service information sheet that is more readable and includes a sketch Derek img049.pdf
Tim T
Many thanks all. Derek, Your info looks pretty definitive by dimensions ie 2.5 inches and 6 inches, although the position on the sketch looks a little random! Will use these dims. Thanks again. roy53
As i believe these were all dealer fitted i assume that positions will vary even on origonal cars

Below picture shows correct mirror and position on L/Hand drive TR5 Stuart.
Tim T
Thanks Stuart. This image would appear to agree with the measurements given in the bulletin. Cheers, Tim
DenisMc
Hi there. My 1968 TR5 is exactly in line with the bulletin i.e. 2.5" from the door glass following the contour of the door panel and 6" back from the front edge of the door. I have no idea whether the car had mirrors fitted from new as I was 17 at the time! Regards, Denis
Tim T
Thanks Denis. Job done now at 2.5 inches and 6 inches. Cheers Tim
