TR4 number plates

Recommended Posts

Hi

My restoration is coming along well and hope to be out and about in next month.

Watch out South Downs Group, may pay a visit.

Have picked up some cheap plates just for local testing.

Anybody know if these are legal ?

Attached picture hopefully.

Hamish,

Good point, I plan on adding a boot mounted light rather than fit the bumpers.

Sorry about the bold, but otherwise the space bar does not work.

Anyone else got that problem ?

Testing.

Testing Testing Testing, ah only happens on the first line.

Webpage design issue I reckon.

You could illuminate with an old TR2 rear lamp and thereby, with a dual filament bulb, gain an extra brake light.

See attached photo.

My number plate is metal, but a vertically-mounted stick-on (as in your photo) should be perfectly acceptable.

Even if the MOT is going to be put on the car I believe that it is still possible to get an MOT "daylight driving only" in which case that would make the number plate legal (obviously for day driving)

Hi Rob.

Try these, unobtrusive and they worked.

Cheers Mark.attachicon.gifIMG_1880.PNG

Yes thats what I have been running for years until I finally refitted my bumpers.

Stuart.
