John L
My choke cable has decided to give up its locking mechanism, the twist and lock, is this something I could take apart and fix? Its CP PI Don't really want to buy a chinese replacement. John
RogerH
Hi John, if it is anything like the TR4/4A mechanism then you can disassemble it. I remade the brass notched shaft as my old shaft had rounded notches. You need to be a little creative but go for it and find out. Roger

RogerH
clothing peg as a short term solution? Two clothes pegs as a longer term solution Roger
Richardtr3a
This was always a problem. When it comes to this level of detail, it means that your car is in top notch condition and you have done a great job. They never lock properly and a clothes peg is a simple answer. Good luck, Richard & H.

Topoff
Piano wire will also help with the tuning. Laurence.
