Hamish
Hi Does anyone have any experience of these rocker covers, fit? Leaks? http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RF4115VENTEDBLACK They are on sale and I'm thinking of getting one for my TR3a (with tr4a head by PO) Also does it matter which way round they fit ? Oil filler to the front or rear ? As this could tidy up vent pipe run. Ta H
RogerH
Hi Hamish, the attachment holes are offset so they should only fit one way - filler cap tot he rear Roger
stuart
They sometimes leak as they do often need a plane off to make them flat. Stuart.
Fireman049
Hi Hamish ~ This rocker cover looks similar to the one I bought from Moss. I found that it was a very poor casting with blow holes between the polished ribs. They exchanged it for a good one. Check the quality of the casting. Tom.

Fireman049
Hi Hamish ~ I don't regret fitting the alloy rocker cover. I had no option as I'd fitted roller rockers. It does dampen down tappet noise etc. and I've never had problems with oil leaks. Tom.
Hamish
Thanks tom. Beautiful engine bay. By the way. Nothing like mine I'm afraid sparkle wise you put me to shame. I've just got all the bits to do the same radiator expansion tank set up as you. In the same location too. I'm using an old brass tank (MGB header I think?) Still in 2 mind over cover ☺️????? Guest ntc
Order it inspect for pin holes ( think you will find ok) if not send it back,as for sealing to the head no problem just ask before you fit it.
Fireman049
Hi Hamish ~ Regarding your expansion tank. My set-up consists of a pressurised cap on the expansion tank and a plain (unpressurised) cap on the radiator. I have this set-up on both my 3A and Series 1 'E'-type Jaguar. Tom. monty
Very nice rocker cover from Racetorations. Fits well with no leaks.
jean
I purchased one from TR Shop for my 6. Unfortunately the shape of the head is not in line with the cover. I cut a cork seal that compensates the difference and I never had a leak.
