JohnG
Gents I have a set of 5 original steel wheels (5 1/2J x 15). Over the winter, I plan to have these refurbished and powder coated. An impossible question, but, any general guide will help; Will the cost of £250.00 (mates rates) be an investment or just a cash sink?

mike3739
About right here in the Midlands. Cheers Mike.
Ragtag
£50 per wheel doesn't sound like 'mates rates' to me. For stripping and powder coating a set of 5 steel wheels, I paid half the figure you are quoting but I do live in the 'expensive' South.
hot-growler
Think it is a good price and nice wheels will benefit the look of a car. What exact colour did you ask for? I bought a set of steel wheels that need a refurb and was going to do it myself but thinking about it would probably be easierto get them professionally done. Can anyone recommend someone in North West England for the job?
JohnG
I'm hoping that the forum can confirm the original colour for me. The job will start after the warm weather, the new fuse box and the new slave cylinder, so, I have a day or 2 yet.
