exint2
Just done quite a bit of body repair, and have found out that when my TR4 A was resprayed a few years ago it was not in Wedgwood Blue - it was also not in Powder Blue - well not Triumph's powder blue anyway, it's a blue in-between! Still rust is fixed and Car is more ...... characterful seriously though does anyone know where in the Milton Keynes area I can get the paint colour analysed so I can re[spray it the correct colour (whatever that was?) Thanks Nick
david c
Hello Nick I don't know of any one local to you that can do what you ask. But I do know Autopaints Brighton can match and match very well to anything you can send them. I am no expert but I believe the TR4a was not available in powder blue as by then it was a discontinued colour, the nearest colour was wedgwood blue. and they certainly supply that, I know from experience. Hope this helps. David
Geko
Nowadays all paint shops have a scanner which can reproduce any color based on a sample. The front vent flap is one part of the 4A that can be easily removed for that purpose.
Nigel Triumph
Sayers in Northamton will scan a sample then produce a colour match. Celly or 2 pack, tins for spray gun or aerosol. www.sayers-ltd.co.uk Nigel
PaulAnderson
Note that wedgewood blue may well be different when the paint is from different paint manufacturers. I've parked mine (painted in two pack) next to another supposed wedgewood blue car and they were very different yet are supposedly the same colour. Paul
exint2
Thanks guys - taken off the vent and getting it colour matched! - we live and learn :-)
monty
Interesting thing colour. I attended the seminar last Sunday where all 3 VC cars were parked next to one another in the lovely Spring sun. To my eyes all 3, in Powder Blue, looked a very slightly different shade. Could have been the light or my eyesight but interesting nevertheless. All 3 looked good though!

The Australian TR guys have a group photo of quite a few sidescreen cars all painted in Powder Blue parked side by side and they are all different. Stuart.
