T Rusty
While rearranging (pushing) my Tr3a around in my garage, my friend reached in and broke the "handle" off my new, expensive overdrive switch. I tried repairing, that didn't last. I replaced it with a £2 toggle switch which works fine. I had never driven the car with the expensive switch, is it more than just a switch? Lebro
Nope, just a switch, but it does end up in just the right place to flick on or off with finger tips with your hands on the wheel in the "normal" position. Bob.
T Rusty
Bob, Thanks, that makes sense. Guess I'll start putting away money for the original. Paul

TR 2100
This one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-OVERDRIVE-switch-for-TRIUMPH-TR3-TR3A-/231347092844 Peter W That is an absolute bargain - I think anyone would be pushed to distinguish between that and the original. I wonder if the repro has the satisfying clunk rather than click when the switch is flicked? If you have an original, you will know what I mean. AlanR
Fireman049
I fitted one of these switches to my 3A. Indistinguishable from the original and very good quality. Tom.
rhino_mac
I have one on my car. Very good quality and a very satisfying weighted click.
stuart
They arent bad but a drop of locktite on the screws help as they can come undone easily. Stuart.
